Kansas State to stripe out season opener to honor Bill Snyder

Kansas State University has asked its fans to dress in either purple or white (section depending) for its season opener to stripe out head coach Bill Snyder, who was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in January. Kevin McGuire of NBC Sports’ College Football Talk reported the story.

Kansas State Associate AD for Ticketing and Fan Strategies Scott Garrett further elaborated on the plan in a statement to the press:

“Many fans have reached out over the last several years asking to stripe out the football stadium for a game, and we thought doing so September 5 will be a great visual way to celebrate the start of the season and Coach Snyder’s selection into the College Football Hall of Fame,” said Associate AD for Ticketing and Fan Strategies Scott Garrett.
