The marching band for Kansas State had a really ambitious idea for the opening game against South Dakota. Specifically, they had envisioned forming a view of a Jayhawk (that being the mascot of their rivals at the University of Kansas) being attacked by the Starship Enterprise.
It came out looking a little less specific. In fact, a lot of people commented, “Goodness, that seems to be a large penis attacking a Jayhawk.” Not everyone in the stands phrased it so politely. Also, we’re pretty sure that the accidental imagery violated some kind of Title VI sexual harassment rule.
