Kansas State at Texas: Open Game Thread

It’s already been a long January, and it’s not getting easier any time soon. The Wildcats missed their game this past Wednesday against Iowa State (which still hasn’t been rescheduled) due to a combination of COVID and injuries (mostly injuries) that left K-State below the six scholarship player minimum set for this season by the Big 12. They’ve got a couple guys back for today, but K-State is still playing with a skeleton crew.

And even under normal circumstances, the Wildcats would have an uphill battle today. The No. 4/4 Longhorns look great this season, and while they’re six-game winning streak got snapped on Wednesday on a trip out to Lubbock, they are still on track to compete with Baylor for the Big 12 title race.
