K-State women overwhelmed by No. 2 Baylor, 91-49

MANHATTAN — The difference between 25 and 2 is much more than 23, at least in women’s college basketball.

Try 49.

That was the point spread No. 2 Baylor built over No. 25 Kansas State at one point in the fourth quarter of the Bears’ 91-49 victory Wednesday at Bramlage Coliseum.

A month ago the Bears (20-1, 9-0 Big 12) beat the Wildcats (15-6, 5-4) by 30 points and this night put the game away early with a 19-0 run in the first quarter. It was Baylor’s 25th straight win over K-State.

“I wasn’t pleased with the way we competed at all,” K-State coach Jeff Mittie said.
