There was no magical performance or memorable celebration at Bramlage Coliseum on Saturday. Just disappointment.
Kansas State’s good fortune against top-ranked teams came to an end with No. 1 Baylor defeating No. 25 K-State 77-68 in front of a capacity crowd, ending a streak of three straight home victories for the Wildcats over top-ranked opponents.
It was another missed opportunity for K-State, which continues to struggle against quality competition. The Wildcats entered the game as slim favorites, trying to bounce back from a disappointing loss at Texas Tech earlier in the week.
