In a move rather rare in college athletics, the men’s and women’s basketball teams are playing a double-header against teams from the same school.
So, at 5:30pm (GOTZ), your K-State Wildcat women’s basketball team will take on the Washburn Ichabods, and at 8:00pm (or 30 minutes after the ladies game, whichever is later) you K-State Wildcat men’s basketball team will take on the Washburn Ichabods. So this game thread, barring something totally crazy happening, will serve for both games.
The lady Ichabods finished the 2015-16 season with a 15-14 record and tied for sixth in the MIAA with an 11-11 mark, but will start this season receiving votes in the preseason edition of the WBCA Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll.
