K-State tennis finishes play at Drake Jamboree

DES MOINES, Iowa — The Wildcats wrapped up play at the Roger Knapp Tennis Center on Sunday, coming away with a 6-3 singles record and 5-3 doubles record on the weekend.

Livia Cirnu, Millie Stretton and Maria Panaite each went 2-1 in singles over the three days.

On the final day, Cirnu took down Illinois State’s Veronika Golanova (7-5, 6-4), while Stretton beat Chanel Scudiero of Illinois State (6-4, 6-7, 6-4) to win her second straight after dropping her first match of the tournament on Friday.

Panaite lost her first singles match of the weekend, getting out-battled by Iowa State’s Anna Kuuttila (1-6, 6-4, 3-6) to end her four-match winning streak.
