K-State won’t spend much time basking in its win Friday night.
Head coach Susie Fritz has never been one for celebration, especially not when her team finds itself on a grand stage like the NCAA tournament.
But the Wildcats have reason for festivity, if only for a few minutes. They swept first-round foe Lipscomb, 28-26, 25-15, 26-24, at Bramlage Coliseum, earning a Saturday-night matchup with Ohio State. The two squads will meet 7 p.m. on Saturday for a spot in the Sweet 16.
Fritz said her team would turn its attention to the Buckeyes “about 10 minutes” after its win.
