Technically, today is the first day of bowl season, but the Division III championship game, the Stagg Bowl, was played last night. To the surprise of exactly nobody, Mount Union took home its 12th national title with a 49-35 win over St. Thomas. The Purple Raiders are the most dominant program in the history of college football, and the outgoing seniors on the team have played in four straight Stagg Bowls winning as freshmen in 2012 as well (Tim Warsinskey, Cleveland Plain Dealer).
