K-State football locker room to be named for Jordy Nelson

MANHATTAN — Jordy Nelson made a name for himself playing football at Kansas State, and now the former walk-on and current NFL wide receiver will have his name displayed prominently at the Wildcats’ stadium.

Nelson, previously announced as one of K-State’s 2015 Ring of Honor inductees, will have his name attached to the Wildcats’ locker room in the new Vanier Football Complex at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. Athletics director John Currie announced Thursday the Nelson Family Locker Room will honor Jordy and his wife, Emily, with their financial contribution toward the planned Phase III-B construction at the stadium.
