Kansas State basketball player Amaad Wainright has been returned to Johnson County to face charges related to a road-rage shooting in January in Overland Park.
Wainright, who has been suspended from the basketball team as a result of the situation, is accused of aiding another man who allegedly fired a gun at another vehicle on Interstate 435.
That other man, Trevon Barr, 23, of Kansas City, is charged in Johnson County District Court with aggravated assault, discharging a firearm into a motor vehicle and criminal damage to property.
Barr made an initial court appearance Wednesday and remains in jail on a bond of $100,000.
