Chester Frazier has been by Bruce Weber’s side throughout his entire tenure as Kansas State’s men’s basketball coach, helping the Wildcats recruit and develop players for the past seven years.

But Frazier now appears ready for a change.

The talented assistant coach is leaving Manhattan for a job on Mike Young’s staff at Virginia Tech, a K-State source confirmed Tuesday morning. The news was first reported by college basketball reporter Jon Rothstein.

Frazier is the first assistant to leave Weber’s K-State staff since Alvin Brooks accepted a job at Baylor three years ago.
