K-State’s growing MLB pipeline added two more names Monday as Maximus Martin and Jacob Frost were taken in the 10th round of the 2025 MLB Draft by the Red Sox and Dodgers.
Martin, a First Team All-Region pick and Second Team All-Big 12 honoree, was selected No. 298 overall by Boston.
The junior shortstop hit .320 with 18 doubles and 14 home runs—tied for the fourth-most in a single season in program history. His .420 on-base percentage and .612 slugging mark helped power the Wildcats to a 32–26 record and their second straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
