Former KSU women's basketball star gets second chance at WNBA dream

Serena Sundell is back in the pros, well, for at least seven days. The Dallas Wings have signed Sundell to a seven-day hardship contract, which is a contract signed when a 10 has fewer than 10 players available due to injury or illness. While this doesn't guarantee Sundell a permanent roster spot, it does give her the ability to show what he has to the Wings and the rest of the WNBA.

Sundell was drafted by the Seattle Storm int he third round of the 2025 WNBA Draft. However, after appearing in a few preseason games, Sundell was ultimately cut from the team, thus thinking her WNBA dream was over.
