Former K-State QB Waters staying ready for possible NFL shot

Jake Waters isn’t quite ready to abandon hope for another NFL chance, looking to explore all opportunities before deciding to move on from football.

But if another NFL opportunity never materializes, the former Kansas State quarterback will be at peace knowing he gave himself him a legitimate shot for the next level.

After being undrafted, Waters recovered from offseason shoulder surgery in time to earn a free agent contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, but he was released by the Jags on June 1.

Since then, Waters has teamed up with former K-State receiver Curry Sexton to host several football camps across the state as part of Kansas Gridiron Greats youth football.
