Cody Whitehair inherits leadership role on veteran K-State offensive line

The transition began during practice time leading up to the Alamo Bowl last December, and once the game was over the torch of leadership on Kansas State’s offensive line was passed by B.J. Finney to Cody Whitehair.

Finney was a four-year starter at center for the Wildcats, the unquestioned leader for the front line. Now that he has moved on to the NFL, signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers as an undrafted free agent, Whitehair has seniority.

“B.J. kind of trained me throughout his last couple of months at K-State during the bowl prep,” Whitehair said recently at Big 12 media days.
