Burton, Heath hope to fill void at wide receiver for K-State

MANHATTAN — After four successful seasons with receivers Tyler Lockett and Curry Sexton both lining up out wide for the Kansas State football team, a change is rapidly approaching for the Wildcats. The team enters their 2015 campaign without a significant chunk of the offensive and special teams’ production from last season.

Last season, Lockett and Sexton combined for 2,574 yards, nearly 81.3 percent of their receiving production. Also, Lockett was the nation’s leading punt return man a season ago, averaging 19.1 yards while also scoring twice. The returning receiving corps is only bringing back 472 yards of production from a season ago.
