Kansas State sophomore Christoff Bryan was named Big 12 Athlete of the Week on Wednesday after a dominant performance in the high jump in his first outdoor meet of the season.
The weekly honor is the first of Bryan’s career. He is the second Wildcat to win a Big 12 weekly award after senior Akela Jones was named Athlete of the Week on April 20 after a record-breaking performance in the heptathlon at the Mt. SAC Relay Combined Events.
The Kingston, Jamaica native, led the field at the Ward Haylett Invitational in Manhattan this weekend, winning the high jump with a personal best mark of 7-04.
