Bring on the PodCats with the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel’s Ben Steele

Derek Smith and I took a break from the football madness currently gripping Kansas State fans to talk with Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel Marquette beat writer Ben Steele about Saturday’s marquee matchup. This is the nonconference test we’ve been waiting for, and Ben says the Golden Eagles bring plenty of offensive firepower, especially with do-it-all point guard Markus Howard and sharpshooter Sam Hauser. Those two guys have already hit 15 more threes (46 total, 23 each) than Kansas State with just 9 more attempts (117) and one extra game.

But there is some good news for the ‘Cats as well, since Ben says Marquette has struggled at times with small lineups and versatile big men like Dean Wade.
