It’s a little jarring to hear Melissa Triebwasser talk about TCU’s defense on this week’s podcast, since that’s normally a strength for Gary Patterson and the Horned Frogs. But the stats don’t lie, and they tell us that only Kansas has a worse rush defense in the Big 12, and TCU ranks eighth in pass defense.
The offense looks a little better, but Melissa says inconsistency’s been a major issue, whether it’s Max Duggan’s decisionmaking or the catching abilities of standout sophomore wide receiver Quentin Johnston. The offensive line’s also become a major concern, but TCU does have two quality tailbacks in Zach Evans and Kendre Miller.
