As we reported here yesterday, linebacker Elijah Lee has decided to enter the 2017 NFL Draft. He made the announcement in a thoughtful and carefully worded statement he posted on Twitter.
Lee got a middle round grade from the NFL Draft Advisory Board, which raises some questions. For example, he might actually do better with another season of college play under his belt, but Lee’s decision was motivated at least partially by a need to support his family:
My mom works a lot. Sometimes from 7 in the morning to 6 at night, then she’s back at it from 7 to midnight.
