A three-year letter-winner at linebacker who earned all-county and all-league honors as both a junior and a senior, True also was named a first-team all-state performer as a senior.
He recorded 81 tackles, including 21 for loss, and two sacks as a senior in 2012, despite playing in only seven games, and also was the 2013 Kansas Class 5A runner-up in wrestling.
