18 DAYS TO 2017 KICKOFF: Andrew Hicks

Andrew Jason Hicks (b. May 20, 1997) is a walk-on kicker from Mill Valley High School.

His father, Darren, played football at Kansas and his brother, Ryan, played football at Baker University.

Hicks arrived on campus in the spring and successfully completed three extra-point attempts for the Purple team in the spring game. However, I expect him to redshirt.

Hicks was a three-year letter-winner for the Jaguars under head coach Joel Applebee.

He was named to the USA Today Sports/American Family Insurance All-USA Kansas team as a senior in 2015, in addition to first-team all-state honors from The Topeka Capital-Journal and The Wichita Eagle after connecting on 6 of 10 field-goal attempts, nailing 70 of 71 extra-point attempts and totaling 46 touchbacks on 82 kickoffs.
