KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Wayne Selden brought a mostly mundane affair to a thunderous climax in an instant.
The Kansas basketball guard threw down an unassisted one-handed dunk during the second half of his team's Big 12 Tournament semifinal game Friday against No. 22 Baylor, and the Jayhawks advanced with a 70-66 victory.
Selden's dunk, one of several on the night for the lob-happy Jayhawks, brought virtually everyone inside Sprint Center to their feet ... with the exception of BU's Ishmail Wainright, who was posterized and dropped into a heap on the court, where he would remain for several seconds.
