Given the way things have gone the last few years, the Kansas football team was due a break or two.
The Jayhawks got one in their 27-26 win over TCU at Memorial Stadium on Saturday.
KU led 27-24 late in the game, but the Horned Frogs were on the move, driving inside the Jayhawks’ 20-yard line.
However, TCU running back Darius Anderson lost the ball when he collided with an offensive lineman’s backside. KU’s KeyShaun Simmons recovered the butt fumble, and the Jayhawks took a late safety that kept the ball out of TCU’s hands.
