In case you haven’t heard, the Jayhawks are returning to San Antonio. This time, though, it’s not hyperbole to say that this is international news. Bill Self announced to his players and then to the media that the NCAA has a special program in place to give families a stipend to go and watch their children play. $3000 for the Final Four, and an extra $1000 if the Jayhawks advance to Monday’s game.
This not only means that Devontae Graham’s family from North Carolina will attend, but there will also be special spectators from Ukraine. Svi Mykhailiuk’s parents will make the trip from Cherkasy, Ukraine to watch their wunderkid extend his record breaking season.
