The Jayhawks travel to Knoxville for the Big 12/SEC challenge in a rematch of last year’s victory over Tennessee at Allen Fieldhouse. This year’s Tennessee team however is much improved whereas Kansas has gone from the best team in the country to.....not that.
Offensively, Tennessee isn’t great. Most importantly, the Vols don’t shoot or make a ton of threes, and they rank 9th in the SEC in 2-point offense and 14th in offensive rebounding. They don’t commit a ton of turnovers, but if the Jayhawks can pressure them and force a few, they could keep them to a pretty low point total.
