Mykhailiuk, a 6-foot-8 senior-to-be from Ukraine, declared for the draft on April 12 but did not sign with an agent. He attended the NBA Combine (May 9-14 in Chicago) where he performed well in shooting drills, but then injured his ankle and was unable to play in the second of two Combine games.
