LAWRENCE — The wait is over, and Svi Mykhailiuk’s decision is in.
The Kansas basketball guard has elected to withdraw his name from the NBA Draft pool and return to KU for a senior season, he announced in a Wednesday night social media post.
“Senior year gonna be fun,” Mykhailiuk wrote on his official Instagram account, followed by a string of various emojis.
Wednesday was the deadline for potential NBA Draft prospects to remove themselves from the pool, assuming they did not hire an agent throughout the process. Mykhailiuk took advantage of an NCAA rule allowing NBA prospects to test the waters while leaving the door open for a collegiate return, allowing for feedback from professional scouts and executives.
