Offensive line holds KU football's fate in hands, coach David Beaty says

LAWRENCE — As Monday’s Kansas football practice drew to a close, coach David Beaty asked his offensive and defensive linemen to stand up.

If the Jayhawks are to improve at all in Beaty’s second season, he knows his bigs are going to have to come up, well, big.

“We will go as these guys go,” Beaty told his players. “Period.”

Beaty’s comment echoes what he told media Friday, saying of his offensive line: “We’re going to be as good as they allow us to be.” And room to improve is something the Jayhawks’ O-line has no shortage of.
