Kansas is hosting its first ever BBQ competition, an officially sanctioned KCBS event called Crimson and Blue BBQ. The event will be held in the parking lot east of Memorial Stadium and runs Aug 30-Sept 1, coinciding with the home opener vs Indiana State. As an officially sanctioned event, I believe that means the winner is entered into the American Royal in Kansas City later this year.
