No. 2 Kansas follows game plan to perfection, beats San Diego State 70-57

SAN DIEGO

Bill Self stalked the sideline midway through the first half on Tuesday and turned toward his bench, raising his voice above the deafening noise inside Viejas Arena.

“Scouting report, man!” Self screamed. “Scouting report!”

The No. 2 Kansas Jayhawks had a plan Tuesday at San Diego State. They had a list of set plays designed to exploit the San Diego State defense. They had a defensive scheme that would limit the Aztecs to just 38.5 percent shooting.

The Jayhawks also had senior forwards Perry Ellis and Jamari Traylor, and the Aztecs did not.
