Wesley was recruited to Kansas just as college basketball was starting to integrate. He sits 30th all time in KU’s all time scoring list, scoring 1,315 points in just 68 games. He immediately averaged 10.5 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, and backed that year up with 23.5 ppg and 8.8 rpg as a junior and 20.7 ppg and 9.3 rpg as a senior.
Wesley was a 2nd team All American in 1966, as well as an All-Region team member in that year’s NCAA tournament.
