KU holds on for win over K-State as Wildcats’ last-second shot doesn’t fall

Kansas continued its home dominance over Kansas State in the Sunflower Showdown on Saturday at Allen Fieldhouse.

The No. 12-ranked Jayhawks (14-3, 4-1 Big 12) edged the Wildcats (12-5, 2-3), 73-72, for their 12th straight victory over their rivals in Lawrence.

In all, 10 of those victories have been by double figures.

However, Saturday’s contest was not one of those lopsided final margins. In fact, it came down to the final seconds.
