KU guard Brannen Greene suspended by team for six games

On the same day that Kansas men’s basketball coach Bill Self announced that Cheick Diallo would be allowed to travel to the Maui Invitational, he also said that guard Brannen Greene won’t be at the tournament.

Greene was suspended for six games for “conduct detrimental to the team,” Self announced Friday.

Although Greene will not travel to the Maui Invitational, which begins Monday in Lahaina, Hawaii, he will be allowed to practice with the team when the Jayhawks return from Hawaii.

Greene has averaged 12 points (on 6 of 6 shooting) with one rebound and one assist in the Jayhawks’ first two games.
