Following the 31-7 victory over Central Michigan this past weekend, Kansas has finally been acknowledged for their football accomplishments.
Linebacker Joe Dineen Jr., a senior, landed week 2’s Defensive Player of the Week following a team leading 14 tackles against the Chippewas. His stat sheet also included eight of those 14 tackles being solo attempts and he hauled in his first-career interception.
Beyond the stat sheet, Dineen has been a tackling machine for the Jayhawks and has consistently presented himself as the leader for Clint Bowen’s defense. This is his second time receiving the award.
