The Kansas Jayhawks football team has long been the laughing-stock of the Big 12 Conference, and rightly so. But, a glimpse of hope finally showed itself among David Beaty’s squad on Saturday.
The Jayhawks landed a victory at Central Michigan to the tune of 31-7. Now, while most Power-5 schools would not think much of a victory to a Mid-American Conference school, this game meant much more to Kansas.
Saturday’s outcome marked the first road victory for the Jayhawks since 2009. The team has passed through three coaching changes since that point and their men’s basketball team has added nine conference titles in that span as well.
