DALLAS -- David Beaty fidgeted a bit in his seat.
The Kansas football coach, entering his second season at the helm in Lawrence, was waiting to be introduced at a news conference Monday morning at Big 12 football media days. Dozens of media members also sat silently in front of him, waiting to ask about everything from recruiting to social unrest across the United States.
Suddenly, a voice boomed out from the back of the third-floor ballroom at the Omni Dallas Hotel. Ric Renner, an anchor with Fox Sports Southwest, was throwing his coverage to Beaty.
“Now joining us at the podium is Kansas coach David Beaty,” Renner said, “still looking for his first win.
