It’s been a huge season already for the Kansas Jayhawks hockey team, coached by former player (and former podcast guest) Andy McConnell. They finished as the #1 team in the Pacific region of the American Club Hockey Association Division III standings, with multiple players honored.
The National Tournament started on March 26th with pool play, which works as follows (info pulled from the tournament website).
16 teams are invited to the tournament, with the top 2 teams from each of the 4 regions automatically qualifying. Teams 3-10 are seeded into a single elimination Regionals tournament, where the top 2 finishers advance to nationals.
