Today (Sunday) would have been 41 days until Kansas Football. It is now just 34 days until Kansas football, as KU announced on Saturday (July 25) that they will open up the 2020 season with Southern Illinois on August 29, a week earlier than the game cancelled by New Hampshire.
Per reports at various sources, KU had a waiver request granted by the NCAA to play in “Week Zero” of the college football season. Kansas (and presumably SIU) will also begin fall camp a week earlier, on July 31. Kickoff and broadcast details have yet to be determined/announced.
