Other than the players and coaches, I don’t know anyone who expected David Beaty’s Kansas football team to win Saturday in Stillwater. The Cowboys got embarrassed a week ago at home and were hungry for redemption. They scored easily on the opening 74-yard, 7 play drive that included a 54-yard completion.
Quarterback Peyton Bender surprised most Kansas football fans when he ran on the field to begin the game. Typical of the Jayhawks, the Air-Raid started with two three and outs. As a matter of fact, several early throws by Bender were off and the Cowboys sacked him.
