Kansas football: What we learned from week one win

Kansas football fans finally saw David Beaty’s Jayhawks in action with Doug Meacham’s Air Raid Offense providing the fun. As a matter of fact, there are several things we learned from this season opening 38-16 victory over Southeast Missouri State.

Kansas football’s kicking game is in great shape. Freshman Liam Jones consistently provided touchbacks on kickoffs. Senior kicker Gabe Rui also kicked better than I expected. I used to get sick when the Jayhawks needed a field goal or occasionally an extra point. In addition, senior punter Cole Moos, who recently earned a scholarship, boomed a 51-yard kick late in the first quarter.
