It was an unfortunate loss for Kansas football yesterday. It seemed like they might finally get over the hurdle and begin Big 12 play with a win, but it just wasn’t in the cards for the Jayhawks.
Despite the loss, the progress of this team and the program as a whole is undeniable. Unlike previous regimes, the Jayhawks don’t look like a team that doesn’t belong on the field. Moral victories aren’t what fans necessarily want to see, but Kansas fans better get used to them if they want their team to eventually rise to relevancy.
Without a doubt, this probably won’t be the last close game Kansas will lose this year, and that’s all part of the rebuilding process.
