Kansas football replaced former offensive coordinator Les Koenning with up and comer Brent Dearmon last week. It was a big move for the Les Miles staff that should pay dividends in the future. Dearmon is an RPO (run-pass option) guru, and he should be able to utilize the weapons on the Jayhawks’ offense like Pooka Williams and Andrew Parchment.
On the other hand, Texas is coming off a seven-point loss to playoff contender Oklahoma. The Longhorns may have kept the game close, but Oklahoma dominated nearly every facet of the game except turnovers, so the game wasn’t as close as the final score may indicate.
