I know die-hard Kansas football fans watch many if not all the pre-game post-game shows during the season. The Jayhawks rarely get mentioned until basketball season. On the other hand, ESPN’s College GameDay included the Jayhawks in the first two weekends of the season.
ESPN’s College GameDay mentioned the 2007 Kansas football team during the Saturday September 2, show. Reporter Tom Rinaldi showed a graphic of teams that earned at least a rank of number 2 in the nation that season. A graphic prominently featured the Jayhawk logo and six other schools.
Later that day, ESPN’s Football Final featured Kansas Wide Receiver Chase Harrell’s one-handed touchdown grab against Southeast Missouri State.
