Kansas football: Spring game should have final score

Related Topics: Game, Carter Stanley

A year ago, Kansas football fans were excited to see what a transfer quarterback could do at the annual spring game with a new offensive coordinator. Transfer quarterback Peyton Bender lived up to the hype. The 6-foot-1 gunslinger looked very good in Doug Meaham’s Air Raid offense. He led his squad from midfield for a touchdown with about a minute remaining to break a 7-7 tie.

Unfortunately, fans won’t see that type of competition on April 28 at Memorial Stadium. According to Benton Smith at KUSports.com fans will only see Jayhawk football team in a typical practice.
