Kansas Head Coach David Beaty doesn’t return a lot of depth, but he does return quite a few nice talents to build around. Kansas suffered its first winless season since 1954 last year under rookie head coach David Beaty. Though the team did put up a good fight against TCU late in the year, the rest of the games were full of futility and a very clear talent disparity.
The offseason, predictably, brought about quite a bit of change to a program all too familiar with it. Five new coaches are on staff – Todd Bradford (linebackers), Joe DeForest (special teams coordinator), Tony Hull (running backs), Jason Phillips (wide receivers), and Michael Slater (defensive line) – after Kansas had five coaches leave to pursue other positions.
