The Kansas football team will face the nation’s third ranked Oklahoma Sooners Saturday. The season does not get any easier for David Beaty’s Jayhawks. After a few highlights but far too many first half turnovers, the Jayhawks have their most difficult test of the season.
As a matter of fact, 2008 was the last time a potential Heisman Trophy winning quarterback played at Memorial Stadium. Colt McCoy carved up the Kansas defense on that cold, snowy Saturday in November. The Longhorns won easily 35-7 before a crowd of over 51,000.
McCoy didn’t win the Heisman that season.
