Deldrick Withers, a six-foot-four, two hundred and fort five-pound defensive end from Little Rock, Arkansas verbally committed to the Jayhawks Monday. Withers held offers from schools such as Kansas football, Louisiana Tech, Murray State, Northeastern State, and Arkansas State.
Only pulling in six offers, Withers also received interest from two other power five schools in Missouri and Oklahoma State.
While speaking to 247 Sports, Withers had this to say about the Kansas football program and head coach Les Miles:
“I feel that the program is moving in a positive direction and I believe that they can help me grow into a better person and player.
