Lance Leipold has begun to crack the code on fixing what was a dormant Kansas football program.
Leipold's 22-28 record is largely indicative of a rebuild that is well underway. Each year has seen recruiting classes steadily improve, and according to 247Sports, the Jayhawks' 2026 recruiting class sits 37th in the nation with two of Kansas' highest-ever recruits on the board.
Cornerback JJ Dunnigan has been touted as the third-best recruit for Kansas according to 247.
When looking at the offensive front, tackle Kaden Snyder, who also committed in January, is ranked as the 7th-highest recruit Kansas has ever landed.
